Finding Hope
To be honest, my feeling while writing this down is not the best. My Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) has been shadowing me for a whole two-week, and just couple days ago, I decided to stop all of my activities and delegate most of my tasks around the house. The pain has been persistently disturbing my sleep and my mood and overall well-being has been plummeted quite a lot since 3 days ago. Just a moment before I started this story, I have been feeling out-of-my footing and thought to myself, “There is no better time to record this down than NOW.” So, here I am record and share the story with you.

No matter how dark it seems, May the light within your heart always shines through.
08 August 2025.
Checking myself now, I am considerably better than before this story was started. I could feel the burden I subconsciously put on my shoulder becomes lighter as a result. And that’s a good thing. A slight progress is a progress nonetheless.
Although my RA didn’t improves within seconds, my overall well-being definitely does. Allow me share the trick with you, if you missed it from some previous passages before.
Your North Star.
Reminding oneself of North Star is very important. What I mean by “North Star” is what are the things that could guide you back home. It could be promises, a thing or collection of things that can guide you back on your original goal and adjust the course of your direction. The “North Star” will help you readjust the direction and ultimately help you to stay on course even through life (or anythings else) gets difficult.
By remembering and getting reminded by your “North Star”, it will ultimately give you the energy boost and pull you out of your darkness. Your realistic situation might still the same, but now, armed with the right heavily-armored mind, you’ll transform challenges into a learning curve and you won’t let this one lesson stopping you on your track and from reaching the goal.
Wait, it sounds like the ego is speaking loud and clear? Hold on! Don’t get it the wrong way. Though it’s still like the ego talking (“I’m not going to back down today”) still… it can be used skillfully and the important part of it is, we all want to go back to our original goal and not letting anything to stop us from reaching it. Thus, all the challenges we encounter now, will be transform into a short stop to learn the necessary lessons and depart once we ‘see’ the truth.
I think, ultimately what we want to understand and see is, those bad things that had happened to us happened for a reason. And, even as a ‘bad thing’, this circumstances of mine right now serves as a beacon of light (for me) once transformed.
I wish this story bring some light to your life, wherever you are right now. Just like it gave me the right amount of positive spirit, enough to turn the whole situation around.
As a fellow traveler in this lifetime, I wish you all, BON VOYAGE.
Life stories must come with different shapes and colours, right? It simply can’t be all rainbows all the time and the same case with thunderstorms. Life has it ups and downs, just like to ebb and flow of the sea.
I was just sitting feeling bored and looking for ways to entertain myself. I can recall none. I have tried looking back to all of my past ‘victories’ and try conjuring up the positive image and feeling, but alas! None came successfully. I thought to myself of how to transform this negative feeling and emotion. How do I get up from this?
In a split second, I remember my promise to myself that I want to build the space where I can truly ‘live’. And that place is this personal website. This is the space with that very specific intention in mind. These stories are not meant purely for others, but for me as well.
This is the space dedicated for us. Who understand that happiness is something that we can experience now, and not somewhere in distant future. It can happen either in small or grand scale. It may even hide in mundane-menial everyday tasks, like the aroma of freshly brew cup of coffee or freshly washed clothes. Remembering my promise to myself was crucial. A tipping point.
“I should have penned down this story, of what’s happening now, so that I can look back and remember that every bright light comes with dark shadows. It is a reminder to myself, of how I got through this, and as a reference of how to skillfully transform future challenges better than how I did now.”
